Governance Founded in 1983, the American Conifer Society is a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in Pennsylvania and authorized to do business in Minnesota. The purpose of the organization is to promote the use of conifers in garden and landscaping while educating the public about their care and conservation. It is governed in accordance with its Bylaws and Board Policies. The American Conifer Society operates on a November 1st through October 31st fiscal year.
