2025 Jean Iseli Memorial Grant: Now Open for Applications!
Attention all conifer enthusiasts and garden lovers! The American Conifer Society (ACS) is thrilled to announce that applications for the 2025 Jean Iseli Memorial Grant are now being accepted. This prestigious annual grant of $4,000 supports public gardens, arboreta, and horticultural institutions that are dedicated to the development, conservation, and propagation of conifers—particularly dwarf or unusual varieties.
About the Jean Iseli Memorial Grant:
Established in 1986 to honor Jean Iseli, a founding member of ACS and renowned for his contributions to conifer propagation, this grant is a wonderful opportunity to advance projects that celebrate and promote these remarkable plants.
Who Can Apply?
Any public garden, arboretum, or horticultural institution with a focus on conifers is eligible to apply. The grant is designed to support projects that further the understanding and cultivation of conifers in public spaces.
How to Apply:
Applicants should submit the following information:
- Contact details (name, address, phone number)
- A description of how the grant funds will be used
- A list of conifers to be acquired
- A budget breakdown
- An overview of the institution’s mission or horticultural background
Important Notes:
- No more than 20% of the grant funds should be allocated to labor or staffing costs.
- The application deadline is December 1, 2024, with the winner to be announced in mid-January 2025.
