Hello, Everyone!

I’ve waited a couple of days later than usual to post this newsletter because of the National Meeting. I didn’t want you to miss it, if you’re a regular reader, and I was afraid the release announcement might slip through the cracks while you were in Cincinnati for the meeting. If you weren’t, you can read all about the National Meeting in the next newsletter. For the time being, though, read Director Leynar Layton’s article about our southernmost Reference Garden, the UF/IFAS Gary W. Knox Gardens of the Big Bend! Jimmy Williams contributed a photo essay of his conifers in containers, and I wrote a piece about the significance of pines in Korean culture.

You can access our newsletter from the American Conifer Society website by signing in and navigating to About > Regions > Southeast.

As always, I want to encourage you to contribute your own passion for conifers through our newsletter. Send your thoughts, photos, and writing to me at [email protected]. Next deadline is August 15, and I’d really love to hear from you.

Meanwhile, I hope you’ll enjoy our June edition!
