Presentation Title:
Botanic Garden Conifer Collections in California

Description:
Hoyt Arboretum is Oregon’s premier tree collection with 2300 taxa of trees and shrubs from around the globe. Known widely for the extensive mature conifer collection, some of which are approaching 100 years old. Martin will describe key plants in the collection, with a focus on recent California conifer collections. Priority species collection work was supported by an ACS grant in 2025. The talk will cover North California and Southern Sierra collections and visits to restricted range endemic species.
