The ACS’ Northeast Region convention isn’t just about the tours and meetings on Friday and Saturday. We’ve got two fabulous gardens for you to visit either before or after the convention. The gardens are an invitation-only access to two amazing gardens that only convention-goers can visit.

Seven Springs Farm in Chester Springs, the garden of Bob and Nancy Holman, is a 10-acre property which includes a 1779 stone farmhouse, creek, and unique stone sculptures throughout the garden. The 25-year-old pinetum possesses some majestic trees such as Ginkgo biloba “Chi Chi” and a tall Araucaria araucana (monkey puzzle tree) which has survived many cold winters. Other large conifers are spread throughout the property including Metasequoias and Taxodiums near the creek.

Clifford Haugen in Ambler has a large, open property filled with conifers and inviting hardscaping which enables the visitor to sit back and admire the mix of conifers. Beds of conifers, maples, and perennials fill the property, and are complemented by large boulders. These boulders and smaller rocks are then carried through to the other hardscaping elements including several seating areas, water features, and containers.

So come early to the convention, visit these unique gardens, and write down your favorite conifers from the tours. You’re sure to find them in the silent or live auctions, or maybe one of our Sunday morning vendors will have it for you. A conifer convention is the only way to get that rare prize! And remember - money raised during our regional convention goes right back to the regional display gardens to promote the love of conifers!

What to Expect
- Start your day by exploring the first two gardens, where you'll have a delightful 45 minutes at each location.
- Don't worry about refreshments! Coffee, water, and snacks will be available at both spots to keep you energized and refreshed.
- The first two gardens are conveniently located just one mile apart, but keep in mind that parking is limited. To make things smoother, we'll divide into two groups for easy access.


Highlight of the Day
- The last garden on the tour will not only offer a feast for your eyes but also a delicious lunch. Plus, get ready for an exciting ACS plant auction to add a touch of greenery to your own collection!


Important Information
- This is a self-drive event, so make sure to arrange your transportation. The American Conifer Society and the Western Region won't be providing transportation for this adventure.


We can't wait to see all ACS members there! It's going to be a day filled with beauty, friendship, and the joy of conifers. See you on May 4th!

In exchange for just a couple hours of your day (or evening) to represent the the American Conifer Society and the Maple Society at our shared event table, we'll give you a FREE pass to the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival AND a $10 allowance for parking.

This is a great way to enjoy the show AND help us increase the public’s awareness of both of our organizations.

Details: there are 5 different days and 19 different (2 or 3 hour) time slots to choose from. Got a spouse, partner or friend willing to join you? We'd love to have two people for each slot.
